Having just returned from Dahab, Mike Birt tells me that for the two weeks following our departure the wind never dropped below 30 knts and averaged 30 -35 knts. To test the bigger kit they had with them the Test Team had to be on the water by 7.00am! Mike reckons by mid-day on most days the water was clear of windsurfers as they were all too knackered. Would we have survived a week of those conditions???
Would we have survived? Probably not? What sorts of questions are these??? Of course we would have survived! So that's why they had all those three point something sails and all the seventy something litre boards. I'd have been in windsurfing heaven - if only Mum had given birth to me one week later!! In the meantime I'll keep daydreaming of such a week. Wow, 7am sailing, what a thought!
