Well, it looks like my plans for a half day tomorrow are scuppered so, in light of my FOUR FRUSTRATING WEEKS wihout a sail, I look forward on Saturday either to a jolly big bonfire fuelled by Mistral, Starboard and F2, or some sailing.

In the extremely unlikely event that it is the latter (I've looked at the forecasts and it looks marginal at best) I shall be looking for sailing friends. Anyone else going crazy and dying for a sail?

If not, have you got a light please?

PFW.

Gavin, I'm up for an early one if that's when the wind blows.

I note that winguru have just relegated Saturday from a one star day to no stars and theyr.net say F3 at best. Looks like there may be a bonfire tomorrow.

I gather from this lack of any wind that Mr Champion is back among the sailing. If so, Welcome back Tony, hope you are feeling well.

I'm up for an early sail tomorrow if any wind arrives.

But with the Champion sailing again and Jonah Freeman back in the country, what chance do we have?

If there is no decent wind would anyone fancy a surfing session? Could do longsands if anyone needs to hire a board.

I had a bonfire this afternoon. Should have put my kit on it.

Tony, if I feel frustrated I can only imagine how you feel - you get yourself suitably recovered after being laid up during the windy period, and now this! Grrr!

Looking out of my window it looks like a good day for nothing but DIY. Ah, well. . .

Can I come to the bonfire? I nearly made it out two weekends ago (which would have been my first sail in 8 months!) but couldn't find my harness - which must have got seriously misplaced in our house move.  I bought a cheap replacement last weekend (worth it so not to miss another opportunity)... but what happened to the wind... Ross, Tony???  Arghh - its back to DIY for me too, and changing nappies!

Ross. It was worse than that. Yesterday it seemed to be windy in the morning but I had a hospital appointment at 1130. I waited two and a half hours for my appointment watching out of the window as the wind died. I nearly called the Samaritans.

Brad, What type of little nappy filler did you have? Hope to all 3 of you at a beach soon.

Brad,

I wondered what had happened to you. I thought you must have been kidnapped by aliens, joined a monastery, taken up fly fishing or some other gruesome fate had befallen you.

I see it was worse than I feared - children. My Mrs is due to drop our second sprog in August so I'll hopefully see you on the water sometime in 2005.
