long range forecast has a low sitting west of Ireland, it may give us some wind(southerlyish) on sunday and monday. I may have to sacrifice an easter egg to the wind gods! its a glimmer of hope to torment our souls even further. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha argh!

Windguru Sunday ENE F6-F5 High Tide 4.30pm 4.8m so Buddle might be a good option, opens on Easter Saturday sailable from about 2.30 - 6.30

I'd be up for Budle! Where else in a due E'erly?

Access may be difficult, but at worst it's only the same distance to carry your kit as a low tide at D-Bay or low water at Derwent! Suitable for ALL abilities too!

Will have to see if Donna is out of hospital or not. With a bit of luck I now have two weeks paternity leave which could be changed to sailing leave with a little good fortune.

Looks like the forecast is rubbish until MOnday when it's saying F4 or 5 E or ENE at the mo.

Peter, shall we try to get some time to do the calendar over the weekend some time? Maybe over a beer/wine to make it less painful?

Boydy, I bl***y told you it was a kiss of death giving us that long range forecast!

Any chance of wind tomorrow? I am pretty desperate for a sail now.

There is about as much chance of wind for the next few days as there is of me getting out if any did turn up.

The only possible chance of a sail may be on high ground, Kielder? all that fresh water will be icy! (E-ENE?) monday or budle or redcar which may get local wind funneling due to geography.

The optimistic KOD.

Right, that's the DIY done for another day!

Steve, it's funny, I was thinking of Kielder for MOnday myself. The last BIG Easterly, December 2003 if I recall, was a great day at Kielder. It blows right down the valley straight over the dam so it's cross shore from the right from the sailing club.

I'd keptthat one in my back pocket until you mentioned it. It might, as you say, be the best place if the forecast Easterly materialises. That or Budle but as you say it may be lighter at sea level.

I've been working my butt off here so I'll be ready to travel for wind by Monday!

Wait and see, PFW, etc. . .

Right, is there a plan, cunning or otherwise, for tomorrow. I plan to head inland as the Easterlies are causing misery here on the coast. If it is any brighter inland we will be heading to Kielder with kit in case of wind.
