I met Mike at Boulmer where it was blowing 35knts, huge waves crashing onto the reef, flat as you please in the Haven. Things were looking good until I stepped out of the nice warm van it felt like -5. Mike was not to be put off and hastily rigged his smallest sail 4.25, the withdrawl effects from 2 weeks without a sail overcoming any messages his nerve endings were sending to his brain. I shivered as he carried his kit to the waters edge and retreated to the van! He made it look so easy (and warm!), instantly on the plane, reaching back and forth across the waist deep bay. The guy must surely be in line for the 'Balls of Steel' award but for now he will have to be content with being the model for a new range of tee shirt branding;

Martin,

Brilliant!

Mike, you crazy bugger, well done!

Clare, my other half, has re-coined the MBON which suits Mike to a tee:
Mad Bastards Of Northumberland!!

Where was hard-man Carragher? Watching the rugby in the warmth. Sacked from the MBON!!!

Nice one Mike. I read Ally's post as no-one heading out today. I wish you had posted Martin. Ross, you're right that is exactly where I was. But I wish I had gone to Boulmer.

Outstanding!!!!!!!

I won't bore you with the saga that was my Saturday. Enough to say I would have been better off at Boulmer freezing...

PS. I will have an XL tee shirt. if I am allowed in to the club.

Andy,

still working on the design/layout/supplier but first ones look good at £12.50 with small logo on the chest and words on the back. Tee's open to anybody that has sailed Boulmer.

Must thank Peter as it was his photo of Mike, at Boulmer, that was the starting point for the logo.

Martin,
I have done some work for a workwear supplier at Durham who is very reasonably priced.

He normally does me a good deal on screen printing or embroidered fleeces.
Once you have some numbers I can give them a ring for a quote.

The website is www.workwearexpress.com

There might be a £25 set up fee so it will be around about a fiver or six quid a T shirt inc VAT
(delivery extra - unless you pick them up).
Embriodered fleeces will be about £10 - £15

Normally 20 items minimum
They are a very proffesional outfit, one of the best I have dealt with.

They even do Toad mugs

Please can I have a large one too. I know I haven't sailed Boulmer yet - I won't wear it until I do though.
