The date for this years NEWS Super 8 has been set for Saturday October 13th at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club.  Once again the event is being generously sponsored by Surfstore and Tushingham Sails and its hoped that as many NWC members as possible will attend (Ross get the date in your diary - no excuses just because of your new location!!!).  Further updates will be provided nearer the time and entry fees will remain at £10.

Okay boys and girls, who's going? I'm travelling down from Scotland so no excuses for not coming!

Forget the forecast, just put it in your diary. It's the only north east windsurfing event and it needs our continued support if it's to continue. Dave and the NEWS crew put masses of effort into organising it so let's turn up in bigger numbers than in recent years.    The more the merrier really applies for this one.

Note that this is a FUN racing event not a serious one. The course is a simple two-mark across the wind back-and-forth with a gybe at each end. Beginners can take part, as can intermediates and experts, as each will be put on a group of sailors of equivalent ability.

Be there for 10am for registration.

More details to follow.

OK so not a lot of wind predicted 12 mph SSW but 19 C so at least it will be warm and sunny which must be a first for Derwent in the middle of October.

Let's see a fair turnout of Club members for the last official Club gathering of the year.

Hmmm, it might forecast 12mph, but I hope it does a "Derwent" and is actually another 5-10mph...

Maybe?

Hopefully!...

It better !

Rob, Enjoy the camping. Don't let the stories of large wild black cats roaming the area spoil the experience!

I'll be there at around 9am.
