A trip away any thoughts??

Has anyone considered a trip back to El Medano to the OTC I know the Scots were heading out in December. Later in the year might be an option for myself April --- June or Sept -- Nov.

Personaly I would prefer early summer for better wind in Tenerife, cheapest Jet2 flight for June is £210 return, May is more expensive:

Flights - NEWCASTLE to TENERIFE South Flight Date From To Departs Arrives
LS517 20 June 2021 NEWCASTLE TENERIFE South 15:00 19:30
LS518 27 June 2021 TENERIFE South NEWCASTLE 20:30 00:55

A bit pricey but good flight times would allow 7 days sailing.
Globespan flying out of Teeside are £145 but flight times would only allow six days sailing.

http://www.charterflights.co.uk is a good one to check for that route John.
Used it a couple of times.

17th -25th June 2008 = £171 and the times allow for 8 full days sailing...

No worries. The other thing to remember is that a charter flight carries no
mail so you can take your own kit / bring back purchased stuff for no money
normally. I prefer my own kit to hiring.

Andy, as I said at the the beach I'm game for a windbeer trip away.  Just working on brownie points and will have an answer early on in the new year with prospectus dates.

Busy working out my new work rota for the year and buying the Mistress shoes and other girly none windsurfing related presents as a peace offering come bribe to keep her sweet.

How many other chaps can we sign up????

Just back last week from 2 weeks in El Medano, hiring from OTC. Sailed the first 8 days straight, from 3.5M NP Zone to 6.0M Severne Gator. John from Surfstore was around the first week with pal Lee, they were delivering 17(!) 2008 Severne sails. Hope to return feb / march.

OTC are planning a premium rate during next summer, best winds and highest demand. Adam and Graham have joined the OTC team, really clued up for guys of their age, lots of tips. Sparky has left, I dont know his plans.

We had a number of chats with a guy Richard, who has moved to El Medano permanently. He composes music and writes, his latest being a blog which starts in the latest Boards mag, have a look!
