Rob and I were down at a family wedding in Newcastle last WE, great time with over 200 at the reception / disco at the Centre for Life.

Meantime back in the Forth the W wind did blow! 18 out on the saturday at Gullane, not sure about sunday.

Now we seem to have a solid week of probable sailing, mainly W or WSW. Starting today, W 18 - 30kts at Gullane, myself on 4M and Ali 5.2M looping. 9 or 10C, sunny at times, water cold. The WE looks pretty solid, but on the Wed 4 of us head off to El Tur on the Gulf of Suez where it is around 27C. There is a wave clinic on the second week, Jim Collins I think.

Yeah, Westerlies seem to be all the rage at the moment. As there is no swell to speak of looks like speed sailing is making a comeback here....
