I really enjoyed this footage!  Which direction was the wind coming from? it looks like it was NW, with a handy little cove to launch from.

I have just looked it up on Google Earth, this cove is close to the Golf Club so should save a long walk to MOB. It must also be close to the beach below Bamburgh Castle where Timo Mullen launched for the Stormchaser shots a year or 2 ago.

The camera wasused right next to the car park in front of the golf club house Looking north at high tide several bays are formed from what is at low tide a huge expanse of yellow sand. The wind was westerly cross shore from this beach.

Nice footage Terry, expensive HD video camera? I'm looking
at getting one for promo stuff for our new SUP brand as
GoPro makes waves look tiny even when you're at Majanicho
and they're 6-8ft

See what I mean...

I think you might be right Terry! , it's a real shame about the high tide
as it caused a shadow and gust fest in the shore break, nevertheless,
makes me look forward to going back,

nice video terry, shows how choppy it was, it did get better once the tide turned. low to mid is the time to sail.

Not keen to do that again in a hurry. The long walk there and back that is to use the camera.Plus i half froze standing on the cliff in a sodden wet suit buffeted by a freezing gale.Ruined my day really cos i didnt do much on getting back to my board.
