We used to meet once a month on the first Wednesday at a
pub in Morpeth. Numbers dropped off and it has been
abandoned for a couple of years.
Are people interested in reviving the idea?
If so what day of the week would be good? Wednesday seems
to have lost favour as conflicting with other activities.
If enough interest we can review venue/s perhaps rotating
North and South Northumberland. Suggestions of venue
welcome.

Well I'd rather have a pint and a chat with 9 rather than a bun fight with 46. I think the problem we have now is that we are to far intersperced and nobody likes to travel. Perhaps the way to do it is to organise meets localy, I know Adrian and I are happy to have a pint midweek in Morpeth, along with possibly a few other locals, but I personaly don't really want to go any further. ... or perhaps we could find somehwhere geographicaly central to all who express a desire to attend, ..... like maybe the Snowy Owl near Blagdon/ Cramlington

the light nights and decent weather and it is time for that pint! i am up for it, like the idea of a central location, fair for everyone, if you have to make the effort to travel you can commit earlier on the website and get an idea of how many are going, so you know if it is worthwhile. if we all lived within walking distance of a pub we could just turn up, but if we are prepared to travel to a central location then an idea of how many will turn up is good(worthwhile). the social secretary? or any member could organise this, with minimal effort, just requires a post.
